Having ordered the 2 core twisted braid flex, I realised I needed 3 core, the 2 core arrived which I was impressed with so I then order the 3 core which has now arrived and I used to rewire an old 1920's standard lamp, the antique cable has brought it back to it's original glory.
Very happy with the purchase and will find a use for the 2 core at some other point.
Bought this for a 1930s period lamp. Compliments it excellently.
This is a great cable if you need to bend & twist it around your lamp's configuration (see pictures). It also adds a great finished look to the lamp.

Good looking cable but the fabric covering although looks good is a little difficult/frustrating to cut back. It's part of what the beast is if one wants that style of cable.
I wanted to replace a plain white plastic two core cable on a rise and fall unit over my dining table with something less basic and found this antique style flex by looking on the Internet. Looked different, was an equal or better price to other outlets offering a similar product and ordering was easy. Flex arrived flat coiled in a thin box and has now been installed in the ancient Rise and Fall unit which supports a quite heavy Tiffany lampshade. So far all is well. This flex looks really good, is holding up the lamp and shade very well and retracts into the sprung rise and fall unit on the ceiling with no hesitation.
I would recommend this product from Lampspares as being fit for purpose.
