This Black BC | B22 | Bayonet Cap Switched Plastic Lampholder with 10mm Thread 6188196 is a brilliant solution for creating a table lamp or add a
cord grip and create a lovely pendant light fitting. Plastic lampholders
are an affordable and effective way to fix up your sentimental light
fitting, or if you have designed your very own lamp.
Comes in 3 parts comprising of the cap which is the section that has a
10mm female thread that will attach to your base. Then the centre
connection unit where you will connect the live (Brown) and neutral
(Blue), then the top section which will screw over the connection unit
and onto the cap. There is also a cord grip that sits in the cap of the
lampholder.
Note: This lampholder has a cap that screws onto the body so care must be take
not to twist the wires.

We needed a part for a standard lamp and we received our order in 2 days
I inherited a pair of 1950s side lamps, the holders had broken and the base fitting was 1/2 inch. After a lot of searching I found Lampspares, Thanks for the help in finding a suitable 10mm base and holders. The postage was more than the parts, but after the long web chat, I was happy to pay it.
This part was obtained to replace a broken lampholder and had to have a 10mm thread, be black plastic to match the lamp (and to provide the double insulation needing no earthing lead), and reasonably priced. This part met all the requirements and was delivered speedily and fitted perfectly. An added bonus was the construction of the holder was such that without a bulb inserted no power was supplied to the bulb pins which was a good safety feature especially with young children around!
