The Rubber Bung 25-29mm With 10mm Thread 4689032 is the
perfect fixing for holes that vary between 25-29mm and comes with a 10mm
thread that will allow you to add a 10mm lampholder or your choice. The
bung can be tightened up by using a spanner on the top steel nut until
it is snug in the hole, leaving you with the ultimate fixing.
There is room on the bottom of the bung for a female cord grip to be
added but it will spin when the bung is tightened up. The bung is hollow
through the centre, and this will allow a cable with the max outside
diameter of 6.8mm to fit through, alternatively you can use a side entry
cord grip.

I had a fancy bottle which once held brandy given to me as a present by someone who loved the shape of the bottle. I wanted to return it to the giver as a lamp. Result on left in picture.
The stopper was easy to install and assembly of fittings a breeze. The picture contains an optional extension stem which has since been removed. All very versatile.
Excellent service first time I have used these good idea will use again.
The bung works well. It isn’t however supplied with a nut cover to finish it off (as the smaller ones are).
Come on Lamp Spares - it’s no good saying the nut cover doesn’t work because it’s too small.

Essential for anything that you can't get hand or tool access to ie, a closed
bottle or a tall thin hollow piece of artwork. A good tip is to wet the bung if it's a tight fit as there is quite a bit of friction when dry.
We had a much-loved, but messy/smelly (and therefore little-used) Aladdin oil lamp. After a bit of metalwork and the fixing of some excellent, reasonably-priced and efficiently delivered kit from Lamp Spares, we now have a much more useful electric table lamp.
I used this in an old blow lamp, it fitted and gripped brilliantly, saving me from having to solder or braze a washer in. No hesitation in buying more. The only thing I found was that it was tighter than I measured (24mm), but it may have been that the nozzle was distorted, and tighter gave a better grip. I just had to taper the leading edge a little to get it in.
