This E14 plastic lampholder is a great replacement to give your lamp a
new lease on life, you can also add one of our 10mm Male thread cord
grips and use the lampholder in a pendant style light fitting.
Also known as an Small Edison Screw or SES lampholder and takes the small screw in style light bulb.
This lampholder is fully CE certified and has all the relevant documentation such as RoHS certification from the manufacturer.
Comes in 3 parts comprising of the cap which is the section that screws
onto the fixing of the light fitting (or cord grip for a pendant lamp)
the centre connection unit where you will connect the live (Brown) and
neutral (Blue) then finally the top section which will screw over the
connection unit and onto the cap.

comes with 2x shade rings allowing you to easily attach a shade with a
hole size of approx. 40mm (standard fitting).
There are 2 options for this lampholder:
- 10mm Plastic Thread: This is all plastic this will be used if you only have a 2core cable and there is no provision for an earth cable. This does not have a locking screw so a dab of super glue may be required.
- 10mm Metal Thread: This has a metal thread in the base with a locking screw to lock the lampholder onto your 10mm thread.
- 10mm Metal Earthed Thread: This has a metal thread in the base with a locking screw to lock the lampholder onto your 10mm thread, also has an earth connection and should only be used if you have a 3core cable with earth

Items were as advertised, came with instructions and fitted together easily.
Can be fiddly if you've never put these together before and you may also need to order some threaded inserts and cable/cord grips and stand-offs to mount these lampholders, which are freely available on-line for minimal cost.
Contrary to other reviews, once assembled, the lampholders CAN easily be disassembled by pushing down on the interior locking tab with a small screwdriver. Its a bit fiddly, but very doable.
Delivery etc fine, but quality of goods not so. Assembly of parts instructions poor and incorrect on this size of bulb. Once wires are fitted and cap fitted, the cap cannot be removed due to “barb” bit. This cannot be “bent down” once inside the cap. You must get the terminations right first time (the only time!!)

Sorry to hear you had difficulties in releasing the barb.
It's never an easy operation as the SES lampholder is very small inside to find the barb.
